Our fast-paced and motivated team is currently recruiting a Labourer who will play a key role within Nomodic’s Construction Services team. The successful candidate will work out of town on a rotational schedule and will be able to work in team environments and unsupervised.


The Labourer performs some or all of the following duties: 


  • Safety
    • Maintains and promotes the corporate Health and Safety policies and procedures 
    • Report all incidents immediately and ensures that the incident reporting policies are followed 
    • Participate in risk and incident reviews as applicable 
    • Perform all work in accordance with Occupational Health & Safety Regulations 
  • Read and interpret blueprints and building specifications 
  • Measure and mark guidelines for installation of prefabricated cladding and/or cedar siding, eaves trough, soffit and fascia 
  • Install, repair or service prefabricated cladding, siding, eaves trough, soffit and fascia with hand and power tools 
  • Load and unload service trucks with supplies and equipment 
  • Set up scaffolding and adhere to safety procedures 
  • Other duties as required



  • High School Diploma  
  • Trades-related education preferred
  • CSTS2020  
  • H2S  
  • First Aid 

Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience preferred
  • Experience working with Volumetric Modular construction an asset
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with a demonstrated ability to work both with a team and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment   Ability promote and exemplify Nomodic’s core values
  •  Act professionally and in a trustworthy and respectful manner  
  • High standards of ethical conduct; ensuring the preservation of confidential and/or sensitive information
  • Excellent verbal English skills  
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos  
  • Ability to write simple correspondence 

Working Conditions  

  • Workload is moderate to high with the majority of work in remote work locations  
  • Frequently exposed to noise and a regular flow of people  
  • Working in camps can include extreme heat or cold changes as well as all outdoor conditions   
  • Work schedule is typically 0700 to 1730 each day on a schedule of 21 days on and 7 days off  


Physical requirements  

  • Must be able to work in a field environment   
  • Moderate to high level of physicality  
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. frequently  



  • Employee is responsible for supplying their own tools as a condition of employment 

Other Requirements 

  • Pre-access drug and alcohol testing may be required 
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination may be required to meet client site requirements. 

The position's point of hire is Edmonton, Calgary, or Vancouver. Work locations will vary by project and will likely require travel.
