Our fast-paced and motivated team is currently recruiting a Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator, who under the direction of the Director, Human Resources, plays a key role within Nomodic and the HR team. 


This role’s primary focus is to assist with the administration and coordination of a wide variety of duties, being primarily responsible for the recruitment process, employee onboarding and orientation, company events, recognition, communications, data and personnel records management.

 

The Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator duties are to be performed professionally with the highest level of confidentiality, maintaining the Nomodic culture ensuring alignment with its core values.

 

This position requires a high degree of confidentiality and professionalism.


The Work:

 

The Talent Acquisition & HR Coordinator performs some or all of the following duties:

 

Recruitment

  • Responsible for full cycle recruitment for hourly field and salaried corporate positions
  • Posting positions on internal and external websites
  • Screening applications and pre-screening qualified candidates
  • Coordinating and participating in interviews
  • Creating interview questions
  • Issuing employment offers and negotiating with potential hires

 

Onboarding/Orientation

  • Administer, collect and distribute appropriate new hire documentation
  • Collaborate with department heads and create onboarding plans for new employees
  • Schedule required training with managers
  • Facilitate HR Orientation on new hire’s first day
  • Order equipment for new hires and provide employee announcement information to department head

 

Events & Employee Recognition

  • Assist in planning company holiday party and plan other company events such as; BBQ’s, baseball games, teambuilding
  • Assist with planning and executing annual service recognition, staff parties and other employee events

 

Employee Data Management

  • Administration of BambooHR
    • Maintain and update employee information as required
    • Update dashboard as required
  • Maintain and organize employee personnel records (soft and hard copies)
  • Send out forms/sign offs that need to be complete by all staff through DocuSign and file accordingly
  • Assist with the creation and maintenance of procedures documentation for HR tasks/responsibilities
  • Preparation of HR documents, maintaining latest revision of forms
  • Assist with editing communications content including announcements, presentations, processes, forms, etc.
  • Update and maintain the company staff directory
  • Employee Service, Birthday tracking
    • Update in CEO’s calendar
  • Other duties as required


What it takes:

 

Education

 

  • Human Resources Degree/Diploma (or working towards the completion of either)

 

Skills and Experience

 

  • 5+ years’ experience in Talent Acquisition and Human Resources
  • Proven work experience in full cycle recruitment and HR coordination
  • Current knowledge of employment, federal and provincial legislation
  • Ability to communicate with employees at all levels with tact and diplomacy
  • Ability promote and exemplify Nomodic’s core values
  • Act professionally and in a trustworthy and respectful manner
  • High standards of ethical conduct; ensuring the preservation of confidential and/or sensitive information
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with a demonstrated ability to work both with a team and independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills


Experience in construction recruitment is an asset but not required.
